We share the workload amongst our team and ensure that everyone feels appreciated for the work they do. We pride ourselves on our organisation, which means all staff are provided with a fair workload but in the event we’re short staffed as a result of sickness, etc, we have a Head of Care who steps in to rework schedules and workflow, so residents are cared for and staff feel they still have a manageable workload.
We want our staff to excel in their career whilst enjoying the work they do. We invest in training, which not only supports the progression of our team, but also means we’re constantly improving as a care provider. We believe that everyone wants to improve themselves for the betterment of their future, and regularly hire student nurses during their placement to provide them with a real-life experience of our industry in a nurturing environment.
Our team may be different in roles and personalities, but everyone who joins us shares the same values and ethos. They’re all compassionate, caring, and confident in their abilities and the work we do at Brockhampton Court. We believe that employing staff with the same values is why we have such a high staff retention which in turn, supports the longevity of our team. This is further supported by our internal HR processes, such as bi-monthly check-ins and an open-door policy.
Tea and coffee are available throughout your shift and, when you work on a 12-hour shift, you will also be provided with hot meals.
Thanks to our large site, there is ample parking for all staff members, which is free of charge. There are also local bus routes which stop just a few minutes’ walk from the home.
Following successful completion of an initial probationary period, all staff are enrolled on our pension scheme, which includes an employer contribution.
As with most care homes, we have a uniform policy at Brockhampton Court, but this is provided to all staff completely free of charge.
We have a lengthy induction and initial training process for all new starters, to provide them with the knowledge and confidence they need to do a great job.
If you want to excel and learn more, we are fully supportive of the progression of our staff and will fund additional training and qualifications.
If you want to make a difference in providing exceptional care for those who need it, then we want to hear from you! Take a look at our current vacancies – we often have vacancies available for different departments in the care home. If you don’t see a suitable vacancy, please feel free to send us your CV should anything be available in the future.
If you have a question about working at Brockhampton Court, our current opportunities or you want to discuss your current experience, send us a message and a member of our HR team will be in touch.
