It’s important to us to always be transparent and truthful with our current and prospective residents. In a more recent inspection, we were given the overall rating of Requires Improvement which related to a safety aspect of the home.
We apologise for failing to check that a new safety lock was not on the door that leads to our back stairs. This was following an inspection that occurred during COVID and we have since learnt from this and improved our safety measures. For nearly 30 years we have been praised for our great care and kindness ethos.
We’re a family home, not part of a chain, and have an extremely friendly, long-reigning team of staff. We take our inspections, and the safety of our residents and staff very seriously and following our last inspection, have spent considerable time assessing and improving processes around the care home.
We’ve invested in the latest electronic medication administration record (eMAR) system to ensure our care and medication process is accurate and efficient. This software improves the level of care that our residents receive, whilst maintaining our stance as one of the leading residential care homes in Herefordshire.
